| An Explainable AI Collision Warning Sytem for Indian Roads | The proposed system uses a front-facing LiDAR sensor and an onboard camera to detect surrounding objects and estimate short-term collision risk. Unlike fully autonomous systems, the proposed approach follows a human-in-the-loop paradigm, where the system only provides warnings and suggested actions, such as speed reduction or steering direction, while keeping the driver in control. Machine learning models are used for collision risk prediction, and XAI techniques are employed to explain the reasoning behind each warning. Experimental results demonstrate that the system can effectively identify high-risk scenarios while maintaining transparency and affordability. | 2026 |
