Mr. Bineesh M, faculty member of the Department of Artificial Intelligence and Data Science, Jyothi Engineering College, has successfully defended his doctoral thesis at the public viva-voce examination held on Tuesday, 15 September 2026, at CHRIST (Deemed to be University).His thesis, titled "A Novel Approach for Deep Learning Model Based Early Lung Cancer Prediction Using Metabolomic Pathway and Medical Imaging," proposes a deep learning framework that combines metabolomic pathway data with medical imaging to support the early detection of lung cancer — an area where timely diagnosis has a direct bearing on patient outcomes.
